Before you replace it
Why reception problems are so often fixable
An antenna is only one part of a reception path. The cable, the connectors, the direction it points, what sits between it and the transmitter, and how it's grounded all matter. A new antenna fixes none of those if the real problem is somewhere else along the chain.
That's why we'd rather talk it through before you spend money on hardware.
- Direction and height frequently matter more than antenna size or price
- Buildings, terrain and dense foliage between you and the transmitter reduce signal
- A pinched, kinked or water-damaged cable degrades signal quietly
- Loose or corroded connectors are a very common cause of intermittent loss
- Splitters divide signal — each split costs you strength
- Amplifiers can make a marginal signal worse, not better, if misapplied
- Missing some channels but not others usually points at aim or frequency band, not a dead antenna
Guidance is limited to safe, external checks a product owner can carry out. We will not ask you to open a battery pack, work on exposed wiring, or bypass a safety mechanism. If a product shows heat, smoke, swelling or damage, stop using it and call us.

Call a Product Specialist [PHONE_NUMBER]Antenna questions we get a lot
Do I actually need a new antenna?
Often not. Cable faults, connector problems, aim and placement account for a large share of reception complaints. We'll help you check before you buy.
Can you help with TV antennas as well as radio antennas?
Yes. Both use the same basic reception principles, and the diagnostic questions overlap heavily.
Will you tell me if I should just buy a new one?
Yes. If the hardware genuinely is the problem, we'll say so — and we'll tell you what to look for.
Do you sell replacement antennas?
Where compatible refurbished equipment is available. Availability varies by type and fitting.
