What is your SiriusXM Equipment doing?

Pick the closest match, or call and describe it in your own words.

Not sure which one fits? That's fine — most people aren't. Call and describe what you're seeing.

Before you replace it

Equipment support is not account or subscription support

It's worth separating two very different problems. Restore Assist helps with the hardware: the radio, the antenna, the cabling, the mounting and the reception path.

Anything to do with your account — activation, refreshing a signal to your radio, billing, plan changes or cancelling — is handled by the service provider directly, not by us. If that's what you need, contact SiriusXM through the official channels on their own website.

If you're not sure which of the two you've got, call us and we'll help you tell them apart.

  • A 'Check Antenna' message usually points at the antenna, its cable or its connector
  • Antenna placement and obstructions affect reception more than most people expect
  • A damaged or pinched cable can fail intermittently and look like a radio fault
  • Loose or corroded connectors are a common and inexpensive cause
  • Activation and billing problems are account issues, not equipment faults

Guidance is limited to safe, external checks a product owner can carry out. We will not ask you to open a battery pack, work on exposed wiring, or bypass a safety mechanism. If a product shows heat, smoke, swelling or damage, stop using it and call us.

Refurbished radios, antennas and equipment

If a repair isn't practical, a professionally refurbished unit may be the better route. Every listing states its condition grade, what was tested, what's included and what warranty applies.

SiriusXM Equipment questions we get a lot

Are you SiriusXM's support team?

No. Restore Assist is an independent business providing equipment support and refurbishment. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by SiriusXM. For account, activation or billing matters, contact the service provider directly.

What does a 'Check Antenna' message mean?

It generally indicates the radio isn't getting what it expects from the antenna — which can be the antenna itself, the cable, the connector or the placement. A specialist can help you narrow it down.

Can you help if my radio has no signal at all?

Yes, for equipment and reception causes. If the cause turns out to be your subscription status, we'll tell you that so you can take it to the provider.

Can I get replacement equipment through you?

Where compatible refurbished equipment is available, yes. Availability varies.
