Repair Terms

These terms require review and completion by the business before launch. Values marked with brackets are placeholders.

1. Intake

A repair begins with a conversation in which you describe the fault. We confirm whether the product and fault fall within what we handle before you send anything.

2. Evaluation

On arrival the product is inspected and the actual fault identified. Where an evaluation or diagnostic fee applies, that fee is [DIAGNOSTIC_FEE] and is disclosed to you before you ship.

3. Estimate and approval

You receive an estimate for the work required. No repair is carried out and no charge is raised until you approve that estimate. You may decline.

4. If you decline

Where you decline the estimate, the product is returned to you. Return shipping in that circumstance is [DECLINED_REPAIR_RETURN_SHIPPING].

5. Turnaround

Turnaround depends on product, fault and parts availability. Estimated timescales given during the call are indications, not guarantees.

6. Unrepairable products

Where a product cannot be economically repaired we will tell you and set out the alternatives. Handling of unrepairable products is [UNREPAIRABLE_PRODUCT_POLICY].

7. Uncollected products

Products left with us after a decision are held for [UNCOLLECTED_PRODUCT_PERIOD].

8. Limitations

We do not carry out repairs that require bypassing a manufacturer safety mechanism. Where a product is unsafe to work on, we will decline and explain why.
