Model support

Which Dyson model do you have?

Common problems and options vary by model. If yours isn't listed, we can still help.

Before you replace it

A lot of Dyson faults aren't faults

Cordless Dyson vacuums are designed to shut themselves down when something is restricting airflow or when the battery can no longer hold a useful charge. That protective behaviour is often mistaken for a broken machine.

Before you replace anything, it's worth ruling out the cheap explanations. A specialist can talk you through these on the phone in a few minutes.

  • Filters that need washing or are still damp from the last wash
  • A blockage in the wand, bin inlet or cleaner head
  • A clogged or hair-wrapped brush bar
  • A charger or dock that isn't delivering power
  • A battery at the end of its service life rather than a failed machine
  • Warning lights that indicate a specific condition, not a general fault

Guidance is limited to safe, external checks a product owner can carry out. We will not ask you to open a battery pack, work on exposed wiring, or bypass a safety mechanism. If a product shows heat, smoke, swelling or damage, stop using it and call us.

Refurbished Dyson options

If a repair isn't practical, a professionally refurbished unit may be the better route. Every listing states its condition grade, what was tested, what's included and what warranty applies.

Dyson questions we get a lot

Can I call Restore Assist if I don't know what's wrong with my Dyson?

Yes. Describe the symptoms — when it happens, what you hear, what the lights do — and a specialist will guide you on the next step.

Can you repair Dyson products that are out of warranty?

Where our repair service supports the applicable model and issue, you can request an evaluation. The call establishes whether that's the case.

Can I buy a refurbished replacement instead of repairing mine?

Yes, where refurbished inventory is available for your model. We'll tell you honestly if repairing what you own is the better value.

Is a battery problem worth fixing?

It depends on the model, the age of the machine and its overall condition. That comparison is exactly what the call is for.

Are you Dyson's official service centre?

No. Restore Assist is an independent repair and refurbishment business. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Dyson.
